Winner Renewable Energy Production : Soprasolar – Soprasolar Light

In France, the question of solarizing existing roofs as part of a renovation is motivated by a favorable regulatory context (tertiary decree, APER law), economic factors (reduction of electricity bills, generation of additional income), and societal factors (use of green electricity, decarbonization). However, this approach is often faced with a recurring constraint, which is the capacity of the framework and the waterproofing support to bear the added weight. Additionally, for public buildings (ERP), there are also questions related to fire regulations concerning fire resistance from the inside and fire resistance from the outside.

At SOPRASOLAR, with the SOPREMA group of which we are a subsidiary, we have developed the "SOPRASOLAR LIGHT" approach which combines:
The SOPRASOLAR FLEX process: which involves implementing lightweight, high-performance, rigid modules, made in France, on a new waterproofing membrane, while preserving the original waterproofing complex (under conditions) or returning to the waterproofing support and implementing a new complex. We offer insulation/membrane combinations that can meet any type of building, under Technical Approval, up to a 45° slope.
The search for optimization of insulation choice in the case of a complete overhaul of the waterproofing complex, which allows, for buildings classified under the Labor Code or Public Buildings (under conditions), to propose a new ultra-light complex, with the implementation of Polyisocyanurate (Efigreen Acier) and a reinforced synthetic membrane. This lightweight and thermally efficient insulation also improves the thermal resistance of the building and triggers potential associated aids (CEE premiums).

This approach allows us to offer a roof renovation solution with the implementation of a photovoltaic power plant that is:
100% insurable: as it is a common technique with Atex case A approved by CSTB.
Durable: gives a second life to the roof whose primary function is to protect goods and people from the weather, with a reinforced membrane guaranteed for 20 years.
Simple to implement and maintain: both for waterproofing and for the photovoltaic power plant.
Lightweight: with added weight to the waterproofing support going down to 10 kg/m².
Economical: avoids structural reinforcements and associated loss of activity.
Robust: with modules approved in our Atex whose performance in wind, hail, humidity, and UV exceeds European requirements.
Decarbonized: these modules have a carbon footprint lower than the market average.
100% French: through the joint work of SOPREMA, SOPRASOLAR, and HELIUP, three national manufacturers.

HELIUP is the manufacturer of the French photovoltaic module STYKON. A spin-off of CEA-INES, HELIUP has developed a photovoltaic module with monocrystalline cells encapsulated in glass via a patented process that allowed them to create a panel combining the lightness of a flexible panel and the efficiency and resistance of a framed module.
