The Green Solutions Awards 2018
DISCOVER THE FRENCH CHAMPIONS OF THE GREEN SOLUTIONS AWARDS 2018
At a ceremony attended by more than 200 industry professionals - candidates, partners, jurors, journalists - the French winners of the 2018 Green Solutions Awards were announced.
This international competition connected to the COP is a competition for sustainable solutions for the building and the city, organized by the Construction21 network. It includes a national stage, where candidates compete in their country, then an international final, which brings together the champions of each platform.
The award ceremony took place at the School of Engineers of the City of Paris (EIVP) on September 20th. The choice of awarded projects was guided by the same ambition :
Inspire the market and encourage professionals to adopt more sustainable practices.
13 EXCEPTIONAL PROJECTS RIGOROUSLY SELECTED
For this 2018 edition, a triple selection was made to determine the 13 French winners :
- The Expert Jury
Divided into 8 juries, 42 building and sustainable city specialists rigorously analyzed the 83 applications. They then participated in a meeting to designate, after a consensus, the champions of their category.
- The Student Jury
New in 2018, young people in training have evaluated the French buildings and chose their own champion during a meeting with passionate exchanges. The first edition of this jury brought together 14 partner schools training future engineers, architects, journeymen or real estate professionals. Like their elders, the students came to a collective decision after agreement on the evaluation criteria :
Our winning building must meet the needs of occupants, be replicable, integrate renewable energies or bio-sourced materials.
- The vote of the Audience
In parallel with the juries, the professionals registered on Construction21 voted throughout the summer to designate their national favorite, both in terms of buildings, neighborhoods and infrastructures. A price that expresses the opinion of field professionals.
All the winners of the French Awards stage - Expert Awards, Audience Awards and Student Awards - are also qualified for the international final. Buildings, neighborhoods and infrastructures will now have to cross, in front of the champions of the other countries, the international stage. The winners will be announced on December 6 at the University of Silesia in Katowice, Poland, on the COP24 Buildings Day.
